The talk is on Executable Specifications  using Fitnesse/Selenium .  There are two main goals that can be accomplished with this setup. The first is that the FitNesse framework can be used to create, execute and report on Selenium tests.  Organizing automated UI and business layer tests in this way provides a single place for test management of those 2 layers of automation.  Second, using the Slim engine in FitNesse and its Scenario Tables, pages can be written as English-readable sentences -- even written *by* customers and POs -- and those sentences can be executed and reported on as pass/fail.  Using a system such as this, customers can collaborate with testers and developers to write story specifications more easily, and once translated into tests, they can execute them at any time.  Any team member can then see and agree on what the software *should* be doing, and what it is currently doing at any time

Dawn Cannan is a software test evangelist who has been working to integrate testers as members of software development teams and improving the working relationships between testers, developers, and everyone else for the past 9 years. When not speaking at testing and agile conferences and user group meetings, she spends her time working in the open source community on the .NET version of SeleNesse, a plugin making it possible to create Selenium tests in FitNesse. She also writes actively, publishing articles and posting to her blog at passionatetester.com.

Dinner will be provided by J. S. Walker & Co.
